For several years 3D city models assume a central role in urban and regional planning, surveying, navigation and telecommunications and also allow in the environmental field precise analyses and simulations of pollutant, flood and noise propagation. more to: 3D City Models

Cartographic 3D-Generalization

Bild

Cartographic generalization alters objects of a map, so that their shapes and arrangement leads to the best possible perception of the spatial situation. Today, three dimensional data plays an increasing role in map-like products, which is particularly true for 3D buildings in urban landscape models. more to: Cartographic 3D-Generalization
