Semantic 3D/4D City Models
Students understand the concepts of automatic generation and reconstruction of 3D/4D city models. This includes the handling and organizing of different data sources in suitable data structures and the automatic extraction of geometric, topological, and semantic information from 3D point clouds. Students are familiar with methods to automatically detect, extract, and reconstruct building outlines, floor plans, indoor models, and 3D/4D building models. Furthermore, they are capable of generating different levels of detail for various applications and they are able to provide models in standardized data exchange formats.
